INDIA WILLIAMS IN HER OWN WORDS
"I am so thankful for my family and their support. When I refer to my family, I want to recognize my mother and father, brothers and sisters as well as those "other moms and dads" and the people I call my brothers and sisters who have extended their hearts out to me and been an arm of support over the years. Without their support, I would not be where I am today. I can't even begin to thank them for all of the love and support they've provided through my life."
Providing leadership and guidance for others has always been important to me, and is something I plan to continue to develop while attending premed courses at Baylor College in Waco. The younger generations of our nation need mentors who will guide them and provide them direction in setting their goals as they plan for their future endeavors to impact their communities. My goal is to find a way to support younger generations in any way I can through mentorship and public relations in my community and giving time to those who need tutoring to excel at whatever they want to be.
Dreams are attainable, but so much of the next generation needs support to achieve their dreams. As the journey lies ahead in pursuit of a career in the medical field, I will strive to help people get on their feet, and show them that dreams are definitely worth fighting for. I know that it isn't something I'll be able to do on my own, because giving back to the community and becoming a leader will be something I will grow into and I would like to thank the AJX Foundation for allowing me the opportunity to grow as an influence to impact others in the future"
